On the road: Bulgari revs up with the aluminum Ducati Special Edition chronograph | WatchTime

Bulgari and Ducati have joined forces to create a limited edition of the Bulgari Aluminum. As you’d expect from these two iconic Italian companies, it exudes modern elegance combined with purposeful sportiness thanks to its cool combination of aluminium, rubber and titanium.

the Bulgari Aluminum Chronograph Ducati Special Edition features three counters embedded in a flamboyant red dial, the signature color of the historic Bologna factory. Black indexes and the characteristic Bulgari hour and minute hands are filled with luminescent material. The numerals at 10, 11 and 12 o’clock are a nod to the dashboards of Ducati motorcycles.

The central hand measures the elapsed seconds, while the black counters at 9 and 6 o’clock display the chronograph minutes and hours with red hands. The subsidiary seconds hand is located at 3 o’clock. The rubber bezel bearing the double Bulgari Bulgari logo matches the aluminum case, while the crown and chronograph pushers are in titanium.

Limited to 1,000 pieces, the 40mm watch is powered by the BVL 130 automatic caliber and sells for $5,000.
