Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Dallas – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The luxury brand Louis Vuitton has chosen a unique destination for its next fashion show. Here in North Texas!

The invitation-only shopping event will be held at the Museum of Nature and Science in Perot on November 12 and will feature Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2023 collection.

The upcoming Dallas collection was unveiled in May in La Jolla, Calif., at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, which sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and has been revered for its architectural design since it was built in 1965.

Past venues for Louis Vuitton’s Cruise show have spanned the geographic and aesthetic gamut, from Oscar Niemeyer’s MAC in Niteroi, Brazil, to Ieoh Ming Pei’s Miho Museum outside Kyoto, Japan.

They all have one thing in common: beautiful architecture and design.

The Parisian fashion house has used buildings it considers architecturally interesting and bathed in natural light as backdrops for its fashion and trunk shows.

“I’ve seen a bit of what they have in mind. They really play on the look of our building. How amazing the architecture really is; clean lines, concrete, windows, light. .. play a role in their shows,” said Chantel Boudreaux, director of operations and events at the Perot Museum.

Since D-FW lacks mountains and oceans, Dallas’ Perot was chosen for its lighting and interesting backdrop that Louis Vuitton is looking for.

The sun will be the guest of honor in the Cruise 2023 collection, actively participating in the evolution of this wardrobe where changes in temperature punctuate style, according to Louis Vuitton.

The Perot Museum opened in 2012 and was designed by Thom Mayne, founder of Los Angeles-based Morphosis architects. The museum offers a variety of floor plans and special event options for groups of up to 1,500 people. More than 225 events, from bar mitzvahs to weddings, are organized in the various spaces of the museum.

Attendees at the show will include “Louis Vuitton’s top customers as well as key local press and influencers,” a company spokesperson said.

Attendance at the morning and afternoon Louis Vuitton events is expected to be 200 people each. Performances will take place in the lobby, which is surrounded by windows. The decor of the Louis Vuitton sets will take up the exact color of the museum’s concrete.
