Bulgari x Casablanca collaboration inspires a Mediterranean summer
Mythical icon Bulgari Serpenti transforms for a vacation in the Mediterranean as Bulgari teams up with French-Moroccan designer house Casablanca.
The Franco-Moroccan designer Charaf Tajer is a well-known prodigy in Parisian circles. From co-founding clothing brand Pigalle to launching hip nightclubs in Paris to consulting with Virgil Abloh, Tajer has created his own waves. Even WWD has identified its contemporary label, Casablanca, as the Hermès of Generation Z. Given the fanfare surrounding it, the launch of the Bulgari x Casablanca collaboration is the one that captures our attention.

The Bulgari x Casablanca collaboration
Casablanca’s luxe after-sport aesthetic finds an unlikely partner in the legendary Serpenti, a Bulgari icon that has seen many iterations since its launch. In the hands of Tajer de Casablanca, the Serpenti is adorned with a playful and ultra-chic touch through a capsule collection of accessories. The Bulgari x Casablanca collection is part of their collaborative “Serpenti Through the Eyes Of” series, which has been around since 2017. Expect a sporty and fiery touch with fun prints and pastel hues for this one.
The seven-piece ready-to-wear collection, meanwhile, is inspired by mosaics and the world of tennis, an aesthetic that Casablanca knows well. The tennis charm of yesteryear is captured here in a graphic and modern way, with the bag’s classic shape enhanced by a white and green calfskin body and signature snakehead closure. The Serpenti Forever bag features a detachable wooden handle or a shoulder strap with a detachable leather shoulder strap, and is the perfect carry-on for your next trip to Wimbledon.
Another unique piece from the collection is a sculptural bag inspired by a 1920s jewelry box from the Bulgari Heritage Collection. The perfect combination of old and new, it comes with a top handle inspired by gemstone facets.
Beyond the courtyard, inspiration also comes in the form of spellbinding mosaics as seen on the monuments and villas of Rome. The meeting of neo-classical and contemporary styles creates a memorable visual image and the Bulgari x Casablanca collaboration stems from it. The Après Tennis collection hits shelves on April 20, 2022 and the Mosaic series arrives later on May 20, 2022.
